Cara Cara oranges are a naturally occurring variety of navel orange, prized for their deep pink flesh, exceptional sweetness, and low acidity. First discovered in Venezuela in the 1970s growing on Hacienda Cara Cara, they look like a standard navel on the outside but reveal a vibrant ruby-pink interior when cut open.

The flavor is rich and complex—sweet with subtle notes of berry and cherry—making Cara Caras especially enjoyable for fresh eating. They’re seedless, easy to peel, and less sharp than traditional navels, which makes them a favorite for kids and for anyone who prefers a smoother citrus flavor.
